Dusty rose, creams, light rust tones, and gentle greens carried through the day, adding warmth without overwhelming the space. Florals by Rook and Rose played a key role in tying everything together. Their stunning arrangements brought in texture and color that enhanced the already light-filled environment.

Arlene wore a dropped-waist ballgown for the ceremony, then changed into a shorter, sparkly dress for the reception. This was an easy transition that matched the shift from heartfelt moments to a more relaxed evening celebration. Bridesmaids in varying shades of green added dimension while keeping the overall look cohesive and understated.

Emotional first looks with family set the tone early, followed by a ceremony filled with laughter, tears, and genuine reactions, especially during vows. There there was no shortage of smiles or dabbed eyes.

The short drive made it easy to incorporate without disrupting the flow of the day. A stop for McDonald’s cheeseburgers along the way added a lighthearted break and ensured everyone stayed fueled. (Side note: this is both a fun and practical detail that’s often overlooked in the busyness of the day. Be sure to make time to eat!)

Back at the venue, cocktail hour unfolded on the terrace overlooking the harbor. Guests mingled, reconnected, and took in the views before heading inside for the reception.  This was one of Arlene & Jeff’s top priorities at their family oriented wedding celebration.

Tables were dressed simply, allowing conversation and movement to take center stage. An interactive “kissing menu” encouraged guests to participate throughout the evening. Guests offered advice, sang a chorus, or shared a quick toast. It was such a fun & unique touch!

Parent dances, heartfelt speeches, and a vintage-inspired heart-shaped cake marked key moments, but the energy never felt forced. Instead, the evening unfolded naturally, ending with sunset portraits by the water and a dance floor filled with movement, laughter, and genuine celebration.
