In late February of 2023, we had a run in with an expected snowstorm and our originally planned Downtown Vancouver elopement session was relocated inside instead. We ended up at a Holiday Inn and it was giving us the perfect vintage hotel location for their photos. We spent the hour leading up to sunset in a hotel room capturing dreamy cinematic portraits while the snow started to come down. The view from the room was the perfect way to take in the beautiful sight, it was absolute magic.
After dancing around in front of the windows of their hotel room, we all ran outside to experience the wondrous winter weather. As the snow flurried around us, we took in the beautiful blue hour(the lighting we get right after sunset when the sky turns cold). It's my most favourite moody lighting. Kalina and Matt's day was a perfect example of why going with the flow can make for unique, spontaneous candid photos.
